audio slideshow
Making music (weblink)
It lacks of Nat sound, such as machines or tools. In the audio part, it will be better to transfer from sounds of machine or tools to the real music of fiddle. This transition can emphasize the topic - "making" music. Also the Nat sound can elaborate the pics more. Thus Nat sound should be part of this story.
Some photos are nice and tell the process of making through lots of details.
The rhythm of the back music is fast and not match with the pace of slides very well.

lovely and crappy Danielle Margaret Oprean
The one shows her serious eyes, the tension of her right hand which held her hood and the dark shadow lines on her clothes. I think that it is an interesting shot and the harsh light helps a lot, although it was underexposed. I used ISO100, f 32, and shutter speed 1/125.
She has green-blue eyes and wore blue sweater. I am interested in that color. I chose a dark stairwell without windows to shoot her, because I planned to make use of the slope at the bottom of the upper stairs to bounce flash. Also I can shoot her from above , thus her face can be towards the bouncing surface to get light. It was working very well. I got her natural smile and nice blue color through this bounced light. This light helps to express her characteristics and light her face in this dark area. The select one is used f 7.1, shutter speed 125, ISO 200.

Classmate Portrait_Polina
For the single light shot, I used a light with soft box at right side, further back so as to not light up the other side of her face. In this shot, I plan to show her strong profile (nose and lips) and emphasize her right eye lit by the light through her hairs. This eye, or even the left eye in the shadow, shows her calmness and braveness. Those characteristics explain why she can work as a part-time emergency assistant in the hospital, and why she prefers being a photojournalist working in
For the 3 lights shot, I used a white backdrop for a high key shot. Two lights with same power were used to light background. And a light with a soft box using less power lit her from top front and a reflector was used right below her face and the light. The light ration is 1:1 between both sides of her face. And background is overexposed. This high key one shows the other side of her characteristics. She is a cute girl with a sweat smile.
I was very happy to work with Polina who is a good model and a nice teammate.
